Tennis Ball Golf, Also know as Back Yard Golf, was invented in Wausau, WI in the mid 1990’s. Dave Allyn and Tony Lombardo are credited with its inception. The first course was located at Memorial Park in Wausau on the banks of the Wisconsin River and Lake Wausau. The game combines aspects of golf with tennis balls on a course similar to Frisbee Golf.

Allyn and Lombardo, as part of an Urban Intervention, will publicly launch Tennis Ball Golf for the first time at Provflux2005 in Providence, RI. Their website, www.tennisballgolf.com, which contains both the history and the rules of this game, was launched to ramp up excitement for the event and launch Tennis Ball Golf as an internationally recognized sport.
