Provflux Message Board
To ease communication between participants and the public, an online message board has been created to post project information, make inquiries, and faciliate discussions about upcoming events. The message board can be found at http://www.glowlab.com/lab/play.php. Much thanks to Glowlab for setting up this service for our use!
Deadlines
May 1st :: Any work to be displayed in the gallery show needs to be shipped by this date. Please be sure to include all relevant installation materials and details for installation-- we do not want to misrepresent you or your work! If you are not sure if that includes you, or want to make sure that includes you, just shoot us an email and let us know your plans.

May 15 :: All work that needs to be in Providence for the Provflux weekend should be shipped by this date. If you are planning to attend Provflux to do your own city installations, then you can bring the work with yourself, if you prefer. Otherwise, if you need us to disperse your goods, then this date means you! Please be sure to include all relevant installation materials and details for installation-- we do not want to misrepresent you or your work!
May 19 :: The gallery show opens at CUBE2, 230 Westminster St, Providence, RI. This will be held in conjunction with gallery night in the downtown area. It will be great exposure for the big event weekend to come, and PIPS will be on hand to lure people in the gallery space and get the word out. Everyone is very welcome to attend this opening!
May 27-29 :: The big weekend arrives! The super-mega-awesome opening reception and keynote adresses will be at CUBE2 on Friday night, 6-10 pm, and the madness goes on from there. The Steel Yard (27 Sims Ave) will be our big home base, especially for the out-of-towners. We look forward to meeting you all!
Global Campground
For all those Provflux participants who are traveling from afar, we would like to offer free housing and meals during Provflux weekend. Please RSVP to pipsworks@gmail.com by May 20 if you are interested in taking part of our accomodations.
Housing :: We have several different spaces that together will comprise our Global Campground. Each sleeping space is dry, warm, and within walking distance of the main Provflux hubs. While we will be able to provide matresses and/or sleeping pads, each participant is responsible for their own sleeping materials (bags, blankets, pillows, etc). photos coming soon!
Meals :: Complimentary continental breakfasts and free communal dinners will be served at the Steel Yard from the evening of Friday, May 27 through Monday morning, May 30. Lunches will be in the hands of each participant, but there are many inexpensive food options close by the Global Campground.
*Please note: PIPS cannot monetarily afford to assist any participants with individual event costs or travel expenses.
