The figurines are then installed at the site with which dirt they were fired. Finally, “neutral” figurines (ones fired to maturing temperature without dirt sampling) are placed at each site. These figurines have decals of words fired onto them. The words at each site include “shifter” words (i.e., I, you, we, she, they, etc.—words that only take on identity when spoken) and adjectives specific to the site.
