Benches are rare outside of parks, even in Providence. I will be providing public seating in unused spaces by affixing at least different “seats” into the u-channel of no parking/stop sign posts implanted in the sidewalk. Although more object-based than many psychogeography projects, I feel that this public intervention allows any pedestrian to experience the monotony of everyday life in a new way.
