2. outside a 7Eleven across from Johnson and Wales at celemce and union
3. in the median on memorial blvd. between pine and hay
4. at the Bus Stop next to Textron on memorial blvd. near the RISD store
5. in the street between Design Within Reach and the shoe store on Eddy and Westminster
6. in the island of the intersection of Sabin/Fountain/and Dorrance near the Biltmore/Convention Center

Benches are rare outside of parks, even in Providence. I will be providing public seating in unused spaces by affixing at least different “seats” into the u-channel of no parking/stop sign posts implanted in the sidewalk. Although more object-based than many psychogeography projects, I feel that this public intervention allows any pedestrian to experience the monotony of everyday life in a new way.
