open house sunday 6.4 :: 68 bayard st. :: 11a-1p

As part of the Provflux psycho-geographical intervention project across the city of Providence, Livingrm has curated a show – an open house between 11-1 p.m. on Sunday.

House price is $2million.

In the esteemed tradition of Gordon Matta Clark (who sawed houses into pieces), Gaston Bachelard (who equated houses with nests and trees) and Louise Bourgeois (a woman as house), As Is features work that explores house and city. If the house sells, the artists will share proceeds (with bike lanes for Providence).

House sale includes surrounding cherry trees, phone poles, Internet traffic, gutters, electrical, items on laundry line, the art inside…everything... a total package, AS IS.

Artwork by the following artists:

William Allen ~ Gray's Anatomy (paintings)
Josef Beuys ~ Gesprach uber Baume (Talk Over Trees) (lithograph)
Kristen Bly ~ How to Explain Josef Beuys to a Mechanical Hare with a Broken Leg (video)
Robin Kahn ~ Sexual Lovemaking (book)
Nam June Paik ~ Macunis, Ginsberg, and TV News (three prints)
Mark Patsfall ~ Ecotopia (Grasses) (video)
Lisa Perez ~ Good Neighbors (sculpture)
Mike Samos ~ Sounds of the City of Providence (sound installation)
Jacques Villon ~ Industrial Madonna, after Leger (lithograph)
Barbara Westermann ~ Borderlands, Utilities, Reliefs (sculpture)
